Straightening Skid Shoe bracket with heat?

If you're thinking about taking it off to gusset, here's a pic of the shoe on my blade. Just another design to consider...



It doesn't get used much. No snow in the last three years.

I still would leave it as is. Better that bent than something else. You'll fix it a lot faster next time..

You wouldn't be able to tell if just the bracket bent and if you hit something hard enough to bend the bracket, if anything else was going to bend it would regardless. shield Arc posted what I was trying to explain.

Another way to use a bottle jack.
