Now this is just weird. I was private messaging a friend and the opportunity came up to justifiably use the word "a-s-s-h-o-l-e" in plain text context. Well the script censored it out by using asterisks for each letter. Which is a common method for this sort of function. So thinking perhaps that really aggravating form of censorship previously noted in the private messages whereby the entire message is blocked with NO hint about what word was causing the script heartburn, had been fixed, I typed in a test private message using the verboten word "g-u-n". Nope, still blocks the entire post telling you to try again, but no hint about what word it didn't like. So two independent types of censorship are being used concurrently?
Well how about making public which words you do not like on your site (with suitable obfuscation) so we can try to avoid them rather than just guessing when our private messages get blocked with no clues about the offendng word. It took me quite a while to figure out that the word "S-I-G" was offensive here. Thank you very much. But SERIOUSLY?
