( I acutally think this may be real. Look at the rust patterns and such - you would need a *lot* of spare time to cob this up. )

This morning I tried the animation, and it doesn't work today.

Boy am I gullible or what?I will never believe anything I see again!!
I wanted that to be real so badly........I have spent hours searching for that and the closest I have come to it is one more instance of it at strangevehicles.com but not a clue to where it originated.I cannot begin to imagine what lead you to it but thank you so much,now I can get on with life again

To find this thing, I had to use "creative" ways to spell tractor. And, I kept striking out using just Google. I finally found it using Dogpile, a multiple search engine.I had a hunch that it was some sort of former Communist Block or third world country, so I looked up various ways to spell tractor. On Dogpile, I finally got a lead with "monster traktor". Spelling it with a "c" got me nowhere.

This guy got lucky because he found a smart guy like you reading the same post to bail me out.
The best I could invent was "Strange Backhoe"and I trust Google with my exwife so that is all I used to search with and that brought me to "Strange Spider Backhoe" and I saw the same pic again in a different place.
That was encouraging to me and I found a wonderful website on another board I frequent that held a lot of promise http://www.album-mmt.it/ because it had a zillion pics of old equipment and that is where I have been spending a lot of time.
That site is in a foreign language but I use the Google toolbar and it will translate a site to english by right clicking on the page so I have found a lot of interesting tidbits there.
I am too old to be thinking "Outside of the Box"like I need to and I am thankful to have learned something today.
So it is a fake,huh??? LOL

If you click on the original attachment, the name of the JPEG is monstertractor.jpg.

That site I mentioned in my last post would be a good place to look I think,a clue might be matching the color to some of the foreign manufacturers.I intend to spend more time there now since I am not obsessed with this thing and enjoy what I am finding like I should be. Ron G

I cannot seem to view that animation having tried it several times over the last 24 hours.I can hear it just fine but Media Player just shows a black screen.I intend to keep trying

Did it ask you about the DIVX codec? It needs to be downloaded to work. It should open up with RealPlayer.

Sounds like you need the codec. It worked fine with my Media Player. Do you have Windows XP? If you do, you could download the latest version of Media Player (version 10).

I am running XP Pro on my desktop and XP Home on my laptop,both with version 10 Media Player with automatic codec download enabled and neither one will do the video portion of the clip.If I need to run Realplayer to see the clip I guess I won't be seeing it as I will not have Realplayer on my systems. Ron

Try adding the Divx plugin, if that doesn't play the clip, then you will need Real Player.

Anyway, It doesn't hurt to have all the players available. (at least the price is right)
