STRANGE REQUEST

I know there are many experts on this site with all areas of expertise. i am trying to get an idea of the value of an old MAGNATONE amplifier. if anyone can point me to a site or give me direct help, email me or pm .

Although I've personally never heard of that item, I presume it's for home stereo use??

If so, you might try Klipsch . There are a bunch of speakerheads there devoted to the Klipsch line. (I own 3 sets myself) No idea if they can help, but you dont have much to lose. (is it a tube amp?)

Current Magnatone Amps listed on EBay - seem to be in the $75 to $400 zone. Click on "completed items" to see actual recent sales. If it is a truly unusual or rare model, it could be worth $1,000+ to a collector or enthusiast.

I had a magnatone amp back in the 60's, it cost $800 back then. I think it was 100 AMP with 2-15" speakers. Not very reliable, I traded for a Fender Bassman with 2-15" JBL's. Much tougher.

i have seen some on ebay,BUT not the one i have. I found a MAGNATONE SITE and found my exact AMP but does not give a price. I guess when they first came out they were considered STUDIO GRADE.
