First i want to thank everyone on this site for all the great information - i am nearing divorce (not really but the wife has some serious concerns at this point -laugh!) having spent so much time over the past year or so first researching tractors (I am the proud new owner for about a month of a new to me 3320 with about 190 hours) and now how to operate the tractor (sort of basic setup of 300cx, box blade and rake at this point though I have also already put in a request for a markham grapple for the holidays
which will probably require a diverter of some sort) but before I get ahead of myself...
Please keep in mind that I am a complete newbe at just about anything mechanical and probably have gotten myself in a little over my head but...
Having read numberous threads I ordered a CCM toplink, and 3rd svc kit as a start. Made reasonable progress this morning removing the fender, seat and "seat tray area" bolts but am now stuck at the point where I need to remove the handles on the 3pt hitch and gear selector to move the tray.
This is probably the most moronic question ever asked here but could not find a thread addressing it - do i just pull these things off? I have tried with some force (combination of pulling and some slight twisting) to no avail - I am afraid to pull any harder at this point as i am afraid i could do some damage. (The instructions just say remove) Looking at the new lever for the 3rd svc it appears there are a couple of "notches" that kind of hold the top handle on and am assuming that is all that holds the 3pt hitch handle top on. Not sure about the grear selector handle top...?
While I am at it three other questions - do I need to remove the joystick for the loader and the small lever beneath it that controls the range of motion or will I have enought access once I get the lever handles off? I am bit nervous to do this and would rather not.
Secondly, I have noticed that many of the bolts I am removing have some sort of white stuff on them (is that a bolt tightener of some sort). The instructions don't indicate that this is necessary.
Third - the kit came with three little o rings (I think that is what they are but I cannot tell where they should go and there is no apparent reference to them in the instuctions? Three seemed to be an odd number to me as well?
Again - Thank You for all the help (even though you may not have been aware you were helping! (sorry for the long post).
