Stuck in the city for now

I sold my house in the mountains and I'm temporarily (2 yrs now) living in one of my apartments in the city. So I need to get out when ever I can and one thing I enjoy doing is to ride my bike on the river trails that run through the center of the city. The other day I brought along my camera.

It would sure seem that a hotel (or 30% occupied condo) is not worth what it used to be. It looks like the banker took all his money and just left the monopoly board. How fitting...

BTW: Nice photos of a bit of nature in a very unnatural spot. Too bad we have to come down out of the mountains to make a livin'.

Weirdest moose I ever saw! Maybe a caribou.

I went back and took a look at the sign and it says it's a tule elk. Apparently there used to be half a million tule elk through out California at one time.
