My bro' inlaw in florida has the box blade on his kubota(grey L1500DT) <closest US model is an L175> stuck in the up position. The 3 point lever doesn't allow it to lower no matter which position its in. I asked him if someone changed the valve regulating the lowering speed, but he didn't think so. I seem to remember this happening to me years ago when I owned it, but can't remember how I fixed it. Anyone got any ideas ?? Thanks.......Tom (Since I'm in OH it's hard to go over for a quick look !!)

Could be that the lowering speed control has it locked in the up position, or if the lift arms were forced up higher than they are supposed to go, it could pull the hydraulic piston out of the cylinder inside the top cover. That's all I can think of unless someone dumped a dose of Levitra in your hydro oil. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

If it stays that way more than four hours, your supposed to call a doctor.

The flow control for down-motion of the 3 point hitch - knob under the seat - counterclockwise for faster drop - turned full clockwise the hitch stays up. I seem to remember that it has to turn several turns to start dropping if closed. Also some strange memory is saying that the load on the 3 pt needed to shake up and down to start dropping? (The actual pressure at the needle valve isn't very high so it needs a little help to get moving) Cheerful refund if info is bogus.

I don't know about this tractor, but if memory serves, the MMM lift and 3PH lift are tied together. If you set the MMM lift knob a certain way (not in the locked up position) if affects the function of the 3PH.

I may have it wrong, but it wouldn't hurt to check

most of the MMM and the 3ph are attached and If the mower is in the locked-up setting the 3ph won't go down. True Story

Yes, but the question is does it have an MMM control? The control could be what is keeping the 3PH up. This is even more likely if there is no MMM, because he wouldn't be familiar with the operation of the control and a little thing like that could have been changed and cause this big problem.

3PHs tend to have a problem going up when there is a problem, not going down.
