We have two foresters in my region that believe it or not, used to be RNs. They both went back to school for a forestry degree in their 30s. They said because they enjoy being outdoors and the crazy shifts they had to work as nurses burned them out. Both stated the same reasons. These people are outstanding and would do well in whatever career they choose.See that in nursing where some come to it early and others much later in life.
One of our RN's trained and worked as BMW factory trained mechanic and later in the US did 12 years as BMW service writer....
He got tired of the job always selling and decided to become.RN at 40...
Worked 20 years mostly trauma and as a flight nurse... said it was the most rewarding...
Edit: my hat’s off to people who work in the nursing profession. The hours and workload must be very stressful.
