Student Loan Debt?

Oh absolutely. Our vet was the richest man in our town that had an everyday job.
There were wealthier people who inherited millions, but our best vet was probably worth 10 million + and that was in the 80’s.
What you fail to understand is vets get paid in cash a lot, so they can play games with declaring income and taxes.
So you know he made his 10 million from practicing vet med? Were you his accountant? Have you ever worked in veterinary medicine? Even in small animal med where people will spend money to keep Fluffy alive another year, that's not pushing anyone towards the million dollar mark.

Like I said to butchgrass, it depends on where you live.
I live in an equine rich area. We have 2 billionaires in my area. They love their horses. I don’t say that to brag, I say that to help you understand that vets in MY area can be extremely wealthy.
But the comment was addressing vets make a lot of money. Not true. A few, maybe, as in the case you state. But that's not common.

Yeah, well maybe that’s the way it is in N. Idaho (beautiful place), but in MY area, there‘s horses everywhere. Lots of race horses, too.
There was also the King Ranch. 14,000 acres of cattle grazing, to they had and continue to have lots of “patients”.
So we have a lot of demand for Veterinarians.
Horses make vets money. Cattle do not. As someone else said, either cowboys or farmhands due the doctoring for most things. If they lose one, that's the cost of doing business. I work with a 9000 cow dairy and they have one vet who visits every week or so to discuss their health management plan. Treatments etc are provided by the dairy crew.

Same here. The doom and gloom is from people trying to paint a political picture based on things they're not experiencing directly but heard someone else they don't know is.
So you have the almighty insight to see what all other people are experiencing….

Okey doke! God!

In fact, if it were a country, Texas would be the 8th largest economy in the world, ahead of Australia, Italy, Mexico, Russia and Spain.

(If not for the drag of the B*I*D*E*N build back dummer economy it would probably be the 5th largest in the world.)
The three U.S. states with the highest GDPs were California ($3.6 trillion), Texas ($2.356 trillion), and New York ($2.053 trillion).

Only Texas claims 2.3 trillion is larger than 3.6 trillion.

Ask all your pals working for state, county or city agencies doing infrastructure projects with money made available by those programs how they're doing. They and you might whine about Biden or Obama but those two provided money to make them or their company that bid on the contracts serious money.

Whatever you say dude!

I’m quite confident you know everything about everything!
Especially that veterinarians don’t make money.
I’m still laughin that one off.

The only thing that ”provides money” to people is God. God is in charge, not some corrupt clown.

Him and my old man were golf buddies and friends. He made millions with a successful vet practice. He treated our families pets for $0 most of the time.

Sorry it don’t fit your “poor veterinarian“ narrative. I’m sure there’s vets out there not making as much as he did, but most around here do very well.

Here’s a small window into what they make in the US
