That is funny. I had a 10' fiberglass c-band dish way back in the early 80s. We recorded hundreds of movies and evidently the Ex took them when she left. Can't say I've missed either.

I spent too much time picking up returnable cans and bottles out of the ditch....the state won't let us return the empties for the nickle because of the virus. So now I have 2 sacks of empties with about 240 in each and waiting to get my nickle before I pick up any more.

High summer humidity never did the cheap discount tapes or machine any good! Can't say I miss that technology, although it seemed like a gift from heaven, when it actually became possible to watch recorded movies at home, or even own a copy of your favourite movie!

As for the cans. Yes a real problem here. AND, the raccoons get into and shread the empty cans, so for fear of them getting hurt, I need to store this stuff in a secure building!

We had a black bear on the back porch a few days ago that munched on a few of our crushed aluminum cans. I think I need to wash those SPAM cans better. There was a few drops of blood at the scene.

I even wash all my beer and pop cans, just to reduce the odour, stickyness and funk in the blue box. Still the coons are attracted to them. Poor things trying to eek out a living!

Trying to educate my other half in garden design so I can gett the mower through without finding alternate routes with ridiculously tight turns that mke mowing an ordeal.
After almost 40 years I am on the verge of giving up.

Double yup. When we moved into our place and got our lawn established, I could mow it in an hour and 1/2 with a 32" mower. Now it takes 2 and 1/2 hours with a 42" J.D.

I've enjoyed it but in hindsight I should have spent more time racing cars. At least my daughter and granddaughter will get a little something out of the land when I'm gone.
