I'm sorry that this is such a pain. I remember pulling a wheel motor after a decade or so of use and it wasn't fun, but I'm sure a stump grinder is worse.
Someone here posted this awhile back. It still amuses me.
I would try some more PB and then heat at the axle, and try again. The goal is to heat the disk faster than the axle to get some relative movement. Hitting with a hammer outward around the rim tries to vibrate it loose. As soon as it is cool enough, hit it with whatever you are using as an anti-rust/ penetrating oil / "Liquid-wrench" material. I mostly use SeaFoam's "Deep Creep", but I cycle between my various penetrating oils, as I can't say that I see a huge difference between them.
You need to invest in a high torque impact wrench like an Astro pneumatic Thor. They produce 1500 pouns feet breakaway torque and will bust the nut and if the wheel is stuck, a Harbor Freight 10 ton hydraulic puller will remove it.
I have found PB Blaster to be a mediocre penetrating fluid. I use it out of convenience, but for tough stuff I use a mixture of ATF and acetone instead. It certainly outperforms PB Blaster. At work I use Kroil. It is also superior to PB Blaster but isn't cheap.
Acetone and conventional red atf is what I use as well. I mix it up in a spritz bottle 1 part atf to 2 parts acetone. You will have to shake it before using as the atf and acetone will separate.
So the acetone / atf is probably the best penetrant mix. And old farmer truck is wax. Heat the metal up a bit and push a candle into the crack area. Wax really creeps along and I have seen it work. Also just loosening the nut and doing a grind might solve the problem.
Me, either. Perhaps we needed to use sperm whale wax or something?
I think it is one of those things, like a cure for scratches, that if one thing really worked, we would all be doing it. I have several different brands, and I can't honestly say that any one of them works enough better to be sure that it is the most effective.
