Stump Grinder Hook-Ups

the valve is a pressure reducing unit, they are trying to equalize the force of the swing cylinder as you extend and retract it. you will notice that the hydraulic hoses that run straight through go to the base end (extend) on the cylinder, they reduce the pressure on it so it will be equal to the force that the rod end (retract) can produce due to the difference in the square area of the cylinder base/rod

I followed the recommendation of J_J and now have all the hoses and the valve hooked up and now I find there is no flow to my rear remote the fun just keeps on coming. Any ideas on a fix will be appreciated greatly.

What happen to the flow that was going to the remotes, and from the remotes?

Refresh my memory how you connected things.

What should have happen was, that you had remotes installed, and there was a PB on the remote that would power the stump grinder valve and the PB out from the stump grinder should go to the 3pt IN port on the side of the tractor.

The grinder OUT/tank port should go to the tank through a return line of go to the filler cap.

Your flow path should be something like this.

Pump, loader, remote, grinder, 3pt, tank. All valves should be PB capable. All tank/OUT ports go to tank.

I connected the line in side of the valve you recommended the valve is connected from the instructions my problem is I now find there is no flow from the rear hydraulic connection near the 3pt hitch.

You must have flow or something will be damaged.

Do you have PB adapter in your remote valve.

If you installed this valve, and followed the instructions , you could not go wrong.

Here are the instructions for the valve.

Did you install the PB screw in the PB port?

The PB hose from the remote valve should go to the IN port of the two spool valve.

The PB from the two spool valve should go to the 3pt IN port.

All tank/out hose should go to tank.

You need flow through all valves for things to work right.

Thanks I will go back and double check that everything is correct. I am not using the power beyond option so I left the factory plug in. I will update if I have any progress.

Which valve did you leave the plug in and no PB.

You need to use all PB ports and adapters.
