how do I get the stump jumper off
I am just curious as to why you want to remove the stump jumper. You don't need to remove it to remove the blades, you know.how do I get the stump jumper off
Back off the castle nut, but keep plenty of threads. Spray the shaft with PB Blaster. Wait a few minutes and then hit the castle nut with a sledge. Pops the stump jumper right off.how do I get the stump jumper off
They all come off the same way, a castle nut in the middle of the stump jumper. The problem is that the splines on the gear box and blade holder are tapered so it takes some prying back and forth to get it to loosen up. I've found that if you pry it from two or three sides at the same time applying equal pressures it sometimes pops right off but mostly it requires some beating.
