Stump Jumper

JD equipment is reasonably built.. I think that is a given.

Lack of a stump jumper on a light duty or finish mower seems perfectly acceptable as it reduces weight and cost.

Those seem like 'good' reasons to me...

If you are mowing light clean fields.. you don't need a mower built like an abrahms tank with a matching price tage.. when something lighter and cheaper will do... and still be a quality name brand machine.. etc.

Today, there's no reason not to have it when buying any piece of reasonably recently built equipment.

I use mine for a rock jumper too.

Can you even purchase a cutter these days without one ?? I haven't seen one without in years

Hey flusher, That's a brand new cutter . It needs to cut some grass:D

Those photos are 2 years old. That hog is showing some wear now. But I only have about 7-8 acres to mow three times per year, so it'll be a while before that KK hog is worn out (unless I forget to check the lube in the gearbox).
