What model of tractor? I have Pat's on my L3400 and didn't need to change the top link.

I have the l2800. The top link was almost maxxed out without the pats easy change. I only got about 2 more inches out of the factory arm but needed more.

HEY WHATS UP, i like to cruise over here when pond boss is slow . I will be starting sunday morning early. i hope to have the wire in the ground and be up and running that afternoon. pics will follow on the boss.

I hang out on Pond Boss too. (I'm "bobad")

Sometimes I think there are only about 300 people world wide on Internet forums, because I keep running into the same folks. :)

I'm part of that 300 too!

Been lurking at PB for a while now before starting to dig my pond out.

It's going to be a spring fed hole in the ground.

i bought my kubota tractor last week and i ordered pats easy change. It came in yesterday and i installed it it worked great but i needed a longer top link. So today i go to my dealer and ask for a 24 inch toplink and the lady says the longest they have is 16 inch and they dont make any toplinks longer than that.
Well i already have a 16 inch so i go to the john deere dealer 2 blocks away and they have every size top link you could imagine. it was also the same brand of toplink my dealer sells they need to get some better parts people.sorry just had to vent.

I,too got a pats easy change. Yes, I found the top link a bit short. At that point, I took it off as I could not do what I needed to do.

Anyway, what do I need to get the easy change to work, up and running?
I think it is a good concept, and I need to change implements frequently.

Any stories and insight greatly appreciated.

Good Luck

I have a long top link that I purchased from TSC. If you have one near you you should be able to pick one up for less than $20.

Yeah, it is a pain when the counter person is not motivated (experienced?, intelligent?) enough to look past the listed parts for a tractor. But sadly, it happens all the time. If I am in a grumpy mood, I will talk to the manager of the dealership and let them know that their front line contact with the customer is making them look bad. It always gets their attention, frequently it gets me a discount. Sometimes it even gets a new counter person...

It might make you feel better to vent here, but it will get you better service to vent to the manager or owner of the dealership.
