I have been on here for a while now and have seen the term t-n-t used. I know it is some way to connect implements, but that is all I know. I am still new to tractors and have a very beginner type question.

What exactly is a t-n-t attachment system?

Top and Tilt . refers to a Hyraulic top link and usually a Hydraulic side link also .

Top and tilt. Its a hydraulic Top link and a hydraulic side link instead of the screw type for your 3 point hitch. Allows you to move that hitch up and down on 1 side and in and out on the top. Very usefull for box blade and rear blade dirt moving.

Top and tilt. Hydraulic top link and a hydraulic side link. Yes this makes hitching up easier, but that is not what it was designed for. It is typically thought of as a way to enhance the grading capabilities of a tractor through the 3pt hitch by exchanging the factory manual adjustable links to hydraulic links.

It typically is a cure for "that's good enough syndrome". ;)

I believe it stands for top n tilt. They are hydraulic cylinders on your 3pt with a set of controls, one on a side and one on the top, that will allow you to tilt your rear blade and apply downward pressure also. If I remember correctly MtnViewRanch on this site sells them.

Actually does not apply any down pressure, the draft arms simply raise up.

But can shift that pressure from, for instance, evenly across a blade to point of blade effectively giving more dig although over a small and decreasing psi length. The handiest thing is large round bales. Stab it with the spear level, then tilt up after it is raised for good ground clearance. Love it on my CUT which can use every bit of ground clearance moving bales. Nuisance on our 6230 and M135GX without it but those tractors raise the bale a lot higher anyway so it's livable.
