here is a question
with regards to grinding disks, I'd like to know if we get a pad for say my 1/4 die grinder,to take a disk thats under 4 inches so we can use a cut down disk that the outer part was cut off from wear ..I get a lot that still have life in the inner section and would like to use them up..thx

I know a few places cut 7" discs down to 5" or 4.5", but it seems like any smaller and you'd be running on the center flange nut that holds it together.
For the 1/4" air die grinder, I use the 2" roloc both in scotchbrite and grit. I know that's not what you asked, but it's how to get into smaller areas.
I'd always keep a spindle of worn 5" discs to use on cleaning the table, or deburring cut edges for welding, stuff that would eat up new discs at an alarming rate. Or roughing out really rusty or greasy material that would hopelessly contaminate one.
