I don't know the Kubota line very well. Is the 23S kind of the next generation after the BX25D, or something different?

I very nearly bought a BX25D a few years back. Was a nice machine (of course) but I did notice the single ram for the bucket, which Kubota seems to do on their little tractors.

Yep. Pretty much a BX25D with a lot of new updates/upgrades. The specs are pretty much the same. Really like mine. You are right though. I think Kubota is the only one with the single ram on the bucket. All of the others I looked at had 2 smaller ones, but combined they gave it more rollback and breakout force. Never really had an issue with that, as you can adjust how you break out piles of dirt and stone.
