I've never done post.holes with a scut. It might be fine. And it would probably depend on the soil, but it has been a.bugger for me on two different properties with 2 different tractors both of which were bigger than a scut.
The first was a 2N but the biggest problem was not having aan independent pto from the lift. The other time was with my current B2620. Buried the auger a few timed. Also buried it with a 45 hp so it might have been the auger... or operator. Lol
The other challenge might be the pond with a scut.
If your mower is in good mechanical shape I agree keep it and get something bigger and heavier like the Kioto or L'S.
But if you want one to do all you.might look at the lighter weight cuts like I have.
