Not sure if your little Mf 35 has you aquainted with the Massey dealer or not, but one I would consider is the Massey 1528/1531. I use a 1428v Hydro to maintain 2 acres of grass and do other little things with it. I have to say I am amazed at this little tractor. I have a HEAVY 84" box blade that I have used to level\Shape a baseball field with. Could not drag it with the teeth all down, but take every other one out and it worked fine. Was able to drag it with the box overflowing dirt. Have also used the loader to dig holes to plant trees with, again, impressed. In fact, Im thinking of getting rid of my big tractor , a1650 Oliver, because the little massey does things I had it for. The little boy says nope, keep it and we'll turn it into a puller. The Masseys seem to be a little heavier than Kubota equilents (sp??), but lighter than the next frame size up for them. Just a thought.

I need lots of advice. I currently have an MF35 w/field mower, bush-hog and small scoop used mainly for field mowing about 7 acres gently sloped(sometimes bush-hogged when I let it go too long). Then I have a craftsman rider for mower 1.5 acre yard. I also have about 16 acres wooded but all I do there is occasionally drag out a fallen tree( though there are a couple large mounds of dirt I would like to disperse).

I am considering getting rid of both in favor of a multi-purpose sub-compact.

I would like to have a tractor small enough to mow my yard(with decent turning radius for getting around trees and such), I think I could make good use of a FEL as well. Also I am thinking that by making the switch, if I get HST, my wife would be able to help out with field mowing.

I like the idea of small but strong but . Suggestions???

A multi purpose or utility tractor small but strong, your describing a Power Trac, the 180 / 422 or 425 would be perfect for what you descibe.Products I had the 180 and will be moving up to a 422 or 425. It was one great little tractor. Link above.
