What are the actual uses of these items? Yes I'm brand new to all this.

Poorman's single bottom plow,root rake,sod-buster;inexpensive usefull tool.I also use mine as a potatoe digger.

what he said - I also use my middlebuster to start or clear out drainage ditches in places I don't need a lot of water flow.
Subsoiler will cut a narrow slice, break roots, etc...
middlebuster will roll the turf back on both sides to make a shallow trench.
