Do you switch them back and forth?
Which set do you use the most?

Re: Subject :BX 22 and BX 23

I have both bar and turf. The turfs have never been on the machine, except when it was delivered to the dealer. Ordered the bars and requested they be installed on the tractor before delivery. Now I am wondering why I bought turf tires. I do find the bars tear up the lawn if it is wet, so I just don't go on the lawn when it is wet. I believe that there are a lot of people here that bought both sets and never used the turfs.

I have the turfs for mowing, the bars are for winter using My front Blade.

Re: Subject :BX 22 and BX 23

I ordered the bars on my BX-23 as I have a hilly property with many springs. Have turfs on my Simplicity and often have to use chains. Any marks the bars have made have been gone within days.

To answer your earlier question: I spent a lot of time trying to justify the purchase of the BX-23. Finally, just did it after reading through this forum and think it was one of the best things I ever did.

Re: Subject :BX 22 and BX 23

I bought a BX23 this summer after spending a couple of months evaluating all the options out there. I have a long list of projects to do around the house - including putting in a new driveway, digging a garage foundation, general landscaping, drainage pipes, etc. Since receiving the tractor in late June I have put 170+ hours on it and have gottent the driveway done. This included digging out approximately 100 cubic yards of dirt and then spreading out something like 200 tons of gravel and rock dust/ 3/4 stone mix. There were times I wished for more power but I never really wanted a tractor that is physically bigger. The tractor is pretty amazing for it's size. I have had a few problems, broken air cleaner strap, seat came off, stuck hydro pedal, stuff like that. But I have also beat on the tractor some too and nothing has broken. All in all it is a pretty good piece of equipment.

Re: Subject :BX 22 and BX 23

I've had my BX23 since August. I absolutly love it. Does everything I want it to do. It amazes me how many projects keep popping up that I would never have thought of doing before. Problems..... My Float position detent does not work now, my foot pedal sticks like glue, it needs a horn and better lights, the battery had to be replaced. Sounds like alot but I still love it. I'm ready to start my 50 hour Maint.... We'll see how that goes.

1*Get out the ole greese gun and pump the greese to the
fitting under the pedal & let me know if that helps.
2*For some tips on this Click my name and read threads where I posted about when I did the fifty hour service on mine.

=====================
I plan to spray a dab of bright paint on the filters drain plugs filler caps dipsticks & the Tranny Strainer so I can spot them easier next time.

Want to spray a dab of the same paint on the tools and equipment I used too. That way whenever I change the filters and fluids I can just gather up everything that color without having to figure out what I need all over again.

I did the service with the wheels setting on the ground.
To give me a bit more room under the tractor the next time I
think I will try stacking 2 to 4 ; 16 to 18 inch long boards cut from a 2x 8 or 2x 10 board under the wheels .
