Sory I got to this post late, but hope these pics will help you or someone else....

I built a tool to bury wires out of a shank for a box blade. I attached 1" grey PVC to the rear of it to feed the cable into the ground. The pipe is attached with a hose clamp and cable ties.

I used it to bury wires ( A 10-2 electric, and a phone wire) to where my shed will be located, I did this while building my house so there was no grass to disturb.

First pic: I first ran the ripper through the ground a couple time to loosen the clay/shale mix we have here and laid out the wire (right side of picture)

I finished off the trench by driving over it a couple times to press the mound back down.

A little late, but I have always heard that you aren't supposed to bury alternating current and phone lines in the same hole...

Boy Kenny,
That's really slick!

I've got a project coming up to bring water down from the homesite well to my campsite. We're going to be needing it come Summer. It's about 1500 feet. I was going to bury pvc pipe in the manner Gabby suggested... using lengths of pvc pipe glued together, but I'd like some suggestions on cost if anyone can tell me?

1) Are the rolls of flex tube less expensive than lengths of pipe glued together?
2) Can the flex hose tubing carry dinking water OK?
3) What size does it come in?
4) How does it hold up under say, 40lbs water pressure?
Thanks,
