I just joined TBN a few days ago but have been reading posts here for several years. So, first; thanks to all those who contribute their knowledge and experience here.
Secondly, I have a 2015 5600 that will throw ECs 50-40 & 50-32 simulatenously. From the manual, these appear to be both FWD & REV coil short to battery.
The pattern is strange. The intial symptoms, what I would describe as short bursts of jerking, are followed by a sudden stop and the error codes. It only and inevitably happens with temps over 50F after the machine is at operating temp for a couple of hours. Sometimes, the machine will operate perfectly for several hours with no code. However, if it is turned off, even for a several hours; the codes will appear immediately when restarted.
I initally assumed it was a wiring issue, and that may be the culprit. But no amount of wiring harness/plug wiggling will cause the codes to appear when cold or disappear once they are thrown.
I'm wondering if the drive controller is heating up and malfunctioning.
Has anyone had similar experience or have any insights?

FYI for anyone interested:
For troubleshooting, I bypassed the wiring harness with jumpers from the drive coils to the drive controller to determine if I had a short/ground issue. The problem persisted. So, I assumed it was the drive controller malfunctioning due to higher circiut resistance when it heated up.
To make it accessible, I unmounted the drive controller and then strapped a cold pack to the controller. It would function properly until the cold pack thawed.
So, I ordered a controller, had the dealership perform the calibrations, and put it back to work.
Lessons learned: efficient troubleshooting of electrical related error codes that appear when the machine warms; should start by eliminating the possibility of an internally failed controller through forced cooling of the related controller.
Revision: I should add that I never had blown fuses - which indicated there was not an actual overcurrent issue.....
