It has nothing to do with tractors, and you may not learn anything valuable, but for entertaining stories about hunting, fishing, camping, and rural living (many of which I could identify with), my favorites are the books by Patrick F. McManus. I have most of his books. The first one I ever read, and still have of course, and still think was his best, was A Fine and Pleasant Misery. That was many years ago and I laughed until tears ran down my cheeks and my wife and daughters thought I'd lost my mind. I think perhaps his best known book is They Shoot Canoes, Don't They?
