Having fruit trees, I would modify those posts to hold tripod ladders and pole saws, and build a deck for miscellaneous.

A couple weeks ago when it was raining, I draged the trailer into my barn to start messing with it.

Inside the trailer are some metal screens I traded a guy some work for. I was gonna use them on a dozer, but that never happened, so I've been sitting on them for over a year now.

This is a project that only gets worked on when the weather keeps me in and I have nothing else to do. I'm not a big fan of welding or working with metal, but will do what I have to in order to keep busy.

I spent a few days, on and off, stipping it down to the frame.

Whoever built the thing knew what they were doing, but for some reason left the frame like this on both sides. There was a plate over the top that added some strength, but I hate to see gaps like this.

I picked this up at Home Depot for $27. I saw cheaper ones in catalogs for $20, but this is close enough.

In order for it to work with the fourwheelers, I needed it to be able to get as low as possible, so I cut off the mounting bracket and welded in back on six inches from the bottom.

No I can lower it way down, or even higher then it is now.

Here's one of those screens I have. They are very heavy duty and should make a good solid floor. I'm also using them for the walls. It's a bit tricky welding it on due to the wire in the screen wants to melt before it flows. I lowerd my power setting way down to finally get a decent weld.

Demensions of the screes are 4' by 5', which should make a decent sized trailer.

I cut two more screens in half for the sides. To strengthen them and protect myself and others from the sharp edges, I trimmed them with half inch black pipe. I used black because it was the cheapest at Lowes. I'm not worried about rust, it's already covered in rust. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I reatached the diamond plate to the front of the frame for more storage and re-used the hose brackets for extension cords or hoses. It will also provide support for the screen and keep buckets from sliding off the diamond plate.

I agree. It's surprising that whoever built it left those gaps unless he just didn't have a welder at the time.

To make the trailer multi-functional, I wanted the sides to be removable. I went with inch and a quarter pipe for brackets with one inch pipe sliding into it. That gives me a nice fit.
