OR swap the cutter and box blade for:

Big Bee 80HP 6' 710lb Cutter $1224
Big Bee 7' 592lb Box Blade $450

Out the door for $15253

Farmtrac:
Farmtrac 555 2WD 52HP/44.7HP PTO $12750
No front weights
Bushhog SQ720 65HP w/ slip clutch 635lb 6' Cutter $1150
Bushhog RO-720 710lb 6' Rollover $1100

$15100 without tax (it wil end up costing me about $16200 with delivery, tax, and physical damage insurance)

Kubota:
MX5000 52HP/44HP PTO $13800
250lbs front weights $200
Landpride RCR26 110HP 6' Cutter $2000
Tufline Landplane 7' $1000

Out the door $17000

And I just recently spoke with another John Deere dealer who just gave me a package deal:

5103 with 310lbs front weight and rear wheels filled
Bushhog 286 90HP 6' with slip clutch
Duragrader 6' or Bushhog MBX720 6'

Delivered to my house for $15900

Decisions, decisions... I haven't even talked to the NH dealer yet and I haven't found any of the other brand dealers anywhere within an hours drive.

You mentioned finance plans in your first post.

What are your final costs [down payment + payment*number of payments + final payment] of each?

Let's say each option is an even 15K, but one is 10%APR compounded monthy: your payment would be $484 instead of $417 each month for 3 years. A difference of roughly $2500 out of your pocket. Soooo, if you're looking at those numbers [though purely fictional] and the 15K dealer has the 10% rate; you could spend $17K at 0% [read, read, & reread...all the fine print though] and still be ahead.

I don't even know who has what offers, but since you mentioned it, just wanted to make sure that you factored interest in your equation...barring the possiblity one machine may just fit you right or a certain dealer seems best or other intangible.

Have Fun! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Hey Sonnie,

You might find that paying a visit to Mr Whitworth @ WhitWorth's Farm Equipment, may give you some more options to chew on. He also sells tractors. I have bought several pieces of equipment from him. His equipment prices are very attractive. He is in Deatsville, AL. 334 285 9977.

Also a bit further to go for a tractor, but Champion Tractors in Pensacola, has or can order to your specs a Brand New Chinese tractor at attractive prices. Mr Bryant @ 850 478 6600. He has or can get some with enclosed Cabs with AC & Heating. Most of his tractors are pre ordered to the customers specs and usually takes about 2 months to get your tractor in. I talked with him about 2 weeks ago and he said that he had sold all of his current tractors and was waiting on the next shipment. Just an option, to consider, whichever Tractor Brand that you decide to go with.

On the size tractor that you are talking about, I would like to see you on a tractor with an enclosed cab and AC for the High summer temperatures that we have in this area, and also heating for the Winter time. All that can be accomplished for less money than you are talking about in your previous posts. One fellow got an 80 Hp Chinese Tractor with an enclosed cab AC/Heat for about 18K, just to give you an idea.

Deatsville, is about an hour or so from you and Pensacola, is about 2 hours or so from you.

Best of Luck with your New Tractor Purchase.

Get your tractors running &
Have a nice day,
Joe /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

As far as financing goes it's looks like I'm gonna be fine there. All of them offer really good deals with most being less than 5% even on really long term. I now plan on paying about $7500 down so regardless of which way I go I think I'll be okay. I can even get on down lower on rate for 24 and 36 month terms but I need a lower payment that even that, so I'm probably looking closer to the 3.9 or 4.9% range on somewhere between $8500 and $10500. That's all going to depend on whether I step up to a 4WD, which I'm heavily considering now that I'm paying $7500 down. I think 4WD would be nice to have for those just in case situations. We have some boggy (somewhat wet) areas down close to our pond that my wife has expressed I be able to cut with this new tractor. She's like... "if you ain't gonna be able to cut that then why you gettin' it?" lol... that's why there is all of the sudden $7500 available for DP. I'm thinkin' a 4WD will make through that much better and give me more options of places I can actually start cutting... maybe even broadening the area some that I was originally planning on cutting (like possibly behind the pond dam which is pretty steep - 45 degree bank).

Concering the cab and a/c and heating... just don't think I need it. I cut 10 acres now weekly on my Z-mower and the sun and heat don't bother me much. I do very little outside in the winter but what little I do I can stay warm enough.

Deatsville is not too far really. We use to live is Slapout back in 1990 for a few months. It was a short stay but we sure like Lake Jordan. The first bass tournament I ever fished there my partner and I won $2200 with 35lbs of nice bass we caught from over in the new lake area. That was back before they killed all the grass over there. I can't believe they actually drained that down and sprayed it.... that just destroyed the great bass fishing over there. It was nothing to go out in morning and hang 20-30lbs of nice fish. We sat on one spot and caught 18 fish that weighed 3lbs or better each (now ain't that some fish story? and a true one!)

Anyway... I may give Mr. Whitworth a call.

Is there any Kioti's around those parts? It should save you some money. Looks as your doing a great job. You'll find something. Good LUCK.

Haven't found any yet. I think it's time to look at their website and see where the closest dealer is.

Closest Kioti dealer is 90 miles away... that's too far for warranty service if ever needed.

Question for you pros... if I go with a 4WD, does that mean I can back off the PTO HP some or should I still stay with 40-45HP?

Thanks, I really apprciate all you folks help.
