So where do I get a Sonoran Gila Monster, and in the pouring rain for that matter?

So we have a sun break this morning. And you won't believe this. Right front tire was flat when I swung open the barn doors this morning.

I'd almost be tempted to close the barn doors and start drinking beer. Other than a lack of air what was the cause for the flat?

When I worked on a line crew we'd pile up a few rocks on the right-of-way and shuffle around them a couple of times to try to call up a shower so we could knock off and go home.

I don't know how to make it stop raining.

If you see any rock piles - you might try kicking them over.

Yah, it's been raining up here now for the past 2 days, too... In the 40's.

The old grass from last year is beginning to peek out from around the base of the trees ---

But I don't think I'll be able to find a "Sonoran Gila Monster" no matter how hard I look!

Pretty amazing how much things have changed around here since Sunday, though!

My new 4120 arrived last Friday, in the pouring rain.

Monday: Wind and Rain

I know I live in Washington, but geesh. It's times like this I ask myself "what would a pagan do?"

I've always found that any cat works fine. After the sacrifice you can use them for fertilzer too. I think the history books are distorted. I think the Indians told the Pilgrims to bury cats for fertilzer but it got changed to fish by PETA or the ASPCA.

Yesterday we got six inches of slushy snow in the Chicago area. Whew, I'm glad I didn't put the MMM back on last weekend.

There are a couple of feral's hanging around that I will sacrifice on your behalf when no one else is around..........

I just can't go there. I moved into our little farm with 4 cats. I discovered within 24 hours of doing so that I would be feeding, spaying and neutering an additional 12 which came 'free' with our big barn. I'm kinda a live-and-let-live person, except when it comes to out beef cows which I would calve them directly into the oven if I could.

And you also won't believe how good it sounds when you say something like "Our small army of barn cats allows us to control rodents and other pests without the use of dangerous chemicals or poisons, which ensures you produce from our farm is grown as safely and naturally as possible" on your marketing literature. It really has the cat lovers beating down their door trying to spend their money on us.
