That's a REAL suicide knob! I installed mine on the left side of the wheel two days ago and after a day of work it's now on the right side. That's hydraulic steering for you. I'm hoping it'll be back around to my west side by Sunday. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Hi glagen,

I bought my spinner from Tractor Supply Co, (TSC). They carry decent ones in red, black, green, orange. They run $9.95. I don't think they have any retail stores in MA, or at least they didn't a year or so ago. They do have stores in NY, but I don't know how far that is for you. You can check their webstore to see if they carry them Click Here

Another option is Northern Tool Click Here In the keyword area just type "spinner" (w/o quotes), and they will list about 3 or so different ones they carry. They are pretty quick on mail order.

Gary,

I wondered what that black rubber part was for...It sounds like you installed yours the way it was intended. I'm going to switch mine to a spoke manana.

I had the same problem with the one that I bought at the Deere dealer. Without the black plastic piece, you could not attach it appropriately to the spoke and wheel together.

The black plastic piece didn't come with it originally and I had to ask for it at another Deere dealer. Now that I have it on, I can't see why I wouldn't want to do without it... it makes really slick!

"The little black tab? No such thing on the spinners I bought. Maybe you have something different. How about a picture?"

I'm going to be out there tomorrow and I'll try to remember to take a couple for you. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you look closely at that black tab, you'll notice that the slot you use to slide it onto the metal piece is NOT in the center of the tab. That's not a manufacturing error. It allows you to change the distance between the spoke and metal piece which then, of course, changes the angle of the knob relative to the wheel so you can have it perpendicular to the face of the wheel so you have a smooth, even turn from lock to lock. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

If you didn't know any better, you'd believe that some thought, planning and engineering went into this little green knob, wouldn't you? /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have one similar to the second picture. The knob is over the steering wheel rather than on the outside of it.
