Far as I'm concerned chlorinr ir still for bleaching dirty clothes. I'll stick with H2O2. Works well in my application and has for years. Go take a look at Hydrigen Peroxide on Goggle then report back....
As per the wiki: Hydrogen peroxide - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hydrogen peroxide is seen as an environmentally safe alternative to chlorine-based bleaches. It can be used for the disinfection of various surfaces[32] and is generally recognized as safe as an antimicrobial agent by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).[33] However studies have found it to be ineffective in certain cases and hospitals and other medical institutions are now being advised to use chlorine-based bleaches for disinfection.
Granted that is speaking in surface disinfection terms, but basically what I take from that is chlorine is more harmful to the environment because it kills and cleans more stuff more effectively. As long as it is removed from my water before it gets into my glass, I want the most potent killer of bacteria and other bad things as possible.
Also from the wiki about Chlorine: Chlorine - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Nearly all chlorine in the Earth's crust occurs as chloride in various ionic compounds, including table salt. It is the second most abundant halogen and 21st most abundant chemical element in Earth's crust.
In the form of chloride ions, chlorine is necessary to all known species of life.
Google is good, never heard of goggle... Wikipedia ranks right up there too!
