Than it can get down to the teens and the highs will be in the 50's and 60's. Those miserable conditions will last for two months before warming up again.

Yeah! I hate those darn cold 50º-60º winters too.:D :D;)

Did I mention that I have a winter garden with sweet peas and turnips growing like weeds.

i cleaned the chimney and the wood stove in preparation for this cold snap but we had our first frost a few weeks ago. looking at next week's long range the cold weather is very temporary.

45 degrees here with a steady 15 mph wind, a little cool with the wind chill. Tonight we will get a hard freeze with temps in the 20's. I suspect that after this cool spell we will have a little Indian Summer, then mama nature will get serious about winter. I am glad to see the cooler temps as I am not a summer person and seem to be a magnet for the deer and horse flies that seem to want to help me lose weight, one bite at a time.

Sounds like darn near perfect weather to me! I'm like a kid waiting on Christmas waiting for that first hard frost to kill off the mosquitos and ticks and get those bunnies running. My beagles get real antsy when the weather turns cool in the fall. They know it's about time for some serious running.

Sounds like that most of you go from Summer directly to Winter! What's happening to the your Autumn season?
It is beautiful Fall here in Oregon. Perfect sunny weather... low 70s during the day and 40s at night.

Today was 79 deg and a low of 49 deg. The leaves are still green but in other 20 days many will start to turn.

I just check the snow depth in our yard- 11 inches on the grass! I'm sure the record book will be updated.

We had a light frost a few days ago. Otherwise it's paint time.

Well, there's a frost that looks like it snowed last night. (Just before 7AM here) Thermometer shows 31*. I let the dogs out and they were back at the door barking to get in within a couple minutes.

Up 'till the last couple days, we've had a typical autumn here. 60's at night, upper 70's through the day, an occasional all day rain, and a few small thunderstorms.

Yesterday the rug got yanked out from under us!

Weather guessers are calling for a return to more seasonable weather next week. This is early December weather we're having right now.

From this point, the biggest thing the tractors will do is to haul firewood to the house and shop every few days. Time to play INDOORS.
