Sun Shade purchase

As a truck driver, whose left arm stays in almost as much sun as a farmer's, I am glad my JD came with a canopy. Not a cab, but almost as good. I would recommend some sort of shade for everyone! I wish somebody had drilled it into my head just a little deeper when I was younger, and I wouldn't be spending near as much time at the Dermatologists Office.

Good point. I try to make it a priority to put some spf 50 on my arms and legs when i go mow. Even with a sun shade.. My arms like to set up on the fenders alot..

The buggy top is 125$, includes brackets. They used to sell them for 99$, no brackets.. then you bought a bracket set for 20$. They changed the design slightly and made it 1 kit. Mine is the older kit.. however.. the shade functions the same.

Seplacement covers are about 37$ or so.

The ford 5000 has about a year on the paint, and I keep it under a tarp canopy to keep the sun off it. Though i must admit.. I have waxed it and washed it. I like to use the 5000 for light duty chores.. mainly pulling a hay-ride trailer, or if I have too, mowing w/ a 10' mower. My 7610s gets the dirty chores I'm afraid... ( guess the 660 gets the worst job.. since it handles the maneur pile.. )

Good idea on the maneur pile, I had to splurge and buy a septic system.
