I have an old feedlot and it kind of got away from me. Now kansas thinks the sunflower is the state flower. Truth is they grow wild and somebody should ha've called them a sun-weed. Anyway the can reach height exceeding 10 ft. I knew my massey ferguson would not handle the job. I put my brush hog on my allis which is over kill. The allis puttered along grinding up the sunflower and weeds never labored at all. Couple of times I was concerned about the brush hog. I did shear two pins, but that is what a shear pin is for. Anyway, if your into something like that, big tractor and small mower work pretty good.

Yep, been there done that. Had a MF 240D with a 7' on the three point.

But now I get to use my wife's out front brush hog, so much better, but still has a shear pin:
