This is a little township beach in Michigan. Every evening right at sunset, a bugler plays taps from the pavilion deck. Been going on for decades. We often drive up there for the sunset and a nice twilight drive home through the orchards and vineyards.
That's the town's water intake that the kids are jumping off from. To illustrate the high level of the lake, just a few years ago, the waterline was about 100' past that intake. So if you want to, think about that.... the water in all of Lakes Michigan and Huron is up about 6' in 3-4 years. Look at a map. That's a huge area flooded 6' deep.
Lots of smoke in the Nevada skies from the California wildfires. Not good for breathing but make for some gorgeous sunsets. This is taken from about 8000 feet elevation in the Nevada mountains, looking west about 50 miles over multiple mountain ranges.
