Found this one at my dealer, it was 90 some bucks, but when a friend of mine went back to get one they had to order it and the price had gone up. Works good for me, as long as I stay out of the bushes.
Many here prefer a rigid, permanent canopy, but I have lots of trees out back, so I put a TuffTop on my BX. Lightweight, and easy on/off. I think it's a well-engineered, well-made product. I "tested" its resiliency before I learned how close I could back up to things while mowing. And I did manage to snag it on a tree in the woods once during a spur-of-the-moment project (didn't take the time to remove it ). The plastic held up fine, but I managed to snag a top bow and it split at the bolt hole. Cost me about $10 to replace the bow.
FYI - When trying to get the replacement part, I learned that TuffTop has been sold to FemCo...
BotaBigot , I would like to see a picture of that. I'm interested in something like that but don't want an umbrella that I have to remove every time I put it on the trailer.
Got mine from mowercanopies.com not a bad price either. Makes adding forward and rear work lights a breeze. And if need to remove it it only takes 1 wrench and about 5 minutes, although maybe a little awkward by yourself. Plenty strong and adjustable in height.
Well, I've answered this question lots of times for others, but don't want to go hunting the old threads right now. But when I bought my 1999 B2710 Kubota, I got my Wells Ag Company steel canopy from the Kubota dealer and installed by them before delivery. Wells Ag Company was a local company and I stopped by to visit one day. They only sell through dealers, and have a lot of dealers around over the country (national map with pins in it on the wall), but said they'd be glad to have additional dealers; to just tell any tractor dealer to call. Attached is just one of several pictures I have of mine. The choice was unpainted diamond plate aluminum, or steel painted to match the tractor; same price either way and they were cheaper than the Kubota plastic canopy. I chose the steel and mounted two tiltmeters, a rear view mirror, and front and rear work lights to it.
