Super Deck, new product for hauling small units

Very nice looking unit. It may be a liitle pricey, but hey, I do not know what it takes to build.

Here is what I do know (based on my experience with towing equipment):

1. The unit looks like the ticket for 4 wheelers, small garden tractors (the kind from Home Depot), golf carts and even motorcycles.

2. Additional markets would be reposessors, that specialize in 4 wheelers and motorcycles, towing services that also specialize in bikes, AAA (the auto club), mower shops and even cart shops. Landscapers may also be interested.

3. As handy as it it appears to be, trailers are still what everybody is going to try and compare your unit to. Apples and Oranges, if you know what I mean.

4. Given the added height, I would not try and load a tractor (larger than a lawn mower) and attempt to feel comfortable.

Again, good looking unit.

( ... and even motorcycles ...)

I've seen these things in action at HD ralleys. They work pretty well, and you can get 2 smaller bikes up on one. I wouldn't even consider putting my bare BX2230 on one of these in the back of my Cummins Ram.

They would also work especially well for motorcycle theives /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I agree, Henro. If you look at pic #4 in the sequence, the bottom of the frame out to the two small wheels looks like it is really bent!!!
I suppose that for motorcycles, the advantage is that you could tie them down before hoisting them into the truck and not risk dumping them.
Other than that, if it won't ascend standard ramps which you can buy for $150 or less, it shouldn't be up in the bed!!

Yes, the std. deck should be limited to 1500 lbs payload and, I think, really should be mounted into a 3/4 or 1 ton truck if the planned use is for 1500 lb loads.
A reg. 1/2 ton truck works great for lighter loads like atvs, mowers, m.mikes, smaller utility vechicles, generators, etc.

There is a heavier model with 2000 lb pay load capacity (Chore-Master) and with dump body type tailgate.

I expect to see even heavier units in the market soon.

We tested the std model with several larger units to see how it would perform and how the deck space matched to various items.

I'd guess we'll see lot's of mfg with heavier models in the market soon.

My thoughts exactly...good point.

Add to that, the thing is more expensive than a 20' tilt trailer, and reduces the payload of your truck for other hauling needs. I don't see the logic at all in using it for tractor hauling.

For ATV/motorcycle hauling - sheesh, what overkill. $4K for this, or a pair of sturdy ramps and tie downs for a few hundred bucks...
