I was in wal mart the other night and just happened to look at super tech's hyd fluid for tractors. and i noticed that the list of recommended tractors or fluids that it will replace that it had Kubota UDT. well on a qt that i had i just noticed that UDT is recommended for a variety of other tractors.
HUMMM you think UDT is made by the same company that makes super tech?
I have used super tech in my truck's transmission and it has 168,000 miles on it and going strong! it pulls a 26' camper with slide out that is near max or sometimes over max towable weight. fine!
just curious you know on my boat mercruiser says "use only mercruiser filters" well the first time i changed the oil some 7 years ago ,after paying some 20 dollars for a merc filter , i just happened to notice a sloppy paint job on the filter and it was a delco. of course it is a racket to get you to pay more for there product.
just curious if anyone uses super tech instead of UDT?
( i am going to spend the extra for UDT during the warranty period but after that i am going to find a quality product at a reasonable price)

I'm using it. It all started because I had to clean my hydo filter on a Sunday and didn't have any UDT. The guy at the parts desk at my local Kubota dealership didn't know they made anything but Super UDT. It's sixty miles to the dealership I use so I hadn't made a trip to get more. I needed a couple of gallons to replace what I had lost removing the filter and replacing it. It has worked great in my tractor. I want to see how it does in cold weather. If it does okay I'll use it when I change fluid.

I will probably use it in the future . but as long as my tractor is under warranty i guess i will use the kubota udt. i would hate for something to come up and they say i used an unauthorized fluid or something. even though the super tech meets there standards.
My dealer doesnt carry the super udt because of the cost to him. we had this discussion the other day and he said yes they come shipped with super udt but if they do the service udt goes in.

There have been numerous posts on the difference between udt and super udt and the consensus seems to be the super is all synthetic and will flow better in colder temps. Important here in Syracuse NY, not so much in Arkansas!!.
