Super UDT?

I used the Chevron stuff in my BX2200 and it worked fine. As I recall there is no economic advantage in doing so...it was just available here and Super UDT was not.

My Kubota B6710 loader has less power after the 50 hour service. It could not pick up landscape boulders I had moved out of the way in June/July this year. It is now time to move them again and the loader wouldn't lift the largest of them.

I had my dealer do my 50 hour service on my Kubota B7610. They didn't replace the transmission/hydraulic fluid with Super UDT as the manual states. I called and pointed this out and the service manager said yes, they used UDT instead of Super UDT and that it should be ok but he'd look into it. He called back after reading all the manuals and calling Kubota. He said yest the manuals called for Super UDT, but the UDT he put in the tractor should work ok. I related that my loader could not pick up boulders I had previously lifted. He related the Kubota man said it shouldn't make any difference. I said it did. I suggested they give enough Super UDT to replace the transmission fluid and he agreed.

I'm going to pick up the Super UDT containers sometime in the next several business days. Now, I have to locate a pan to drain the 4 gallons into. Any suggestions for this? I've always used dish washing pans for auto engine oil replacement. Am I likely to find a suitable pan at a fairly well equipped auto/truck parts store? [We have a good one in town.] I don't ever remember seeing such a large oil change pan in an auto parts store. No, there isn't a TSC nearby.

By-the-way, the backhoe manual says to use UDT as its fluid. I'm going to leave it in the backhoe. I've used the backhoe and didn't notice any difference with it. But then it had UDT in it in the first place.

I actually called the Local Chevron bulk plant in this vicinity concerning the availability of it.

The ladies there knew little about it , they told me that it was only available in drums at a cost of $1000.00 + shipping.

I emailed Chevron and was told it is available in 5 gallon pails.no mention of what the cost was.

The bulk plants excuse for not having it on hand was this" It is just sooo expensive, We don't stock it". The local dealer doesn't stock Super UDT either.

Tractor Smart sells Super UDT for $33.00 for 2 1/2 gallons of Super UDT.
I would order it from them and pay the shipping rather that drive over 100 miles to pick some up.

AutoZone has a nice Antifreeze drain pan that hold five gallons, and has a nice drain spout as well. Meant to get one, forgot gotta go back - you might want to grab some Blazer bulbs if you are there, great value for 2.50 - now I can see at night on my BX

Just find a Chevron Bulk plant they can probably order some for You or Like Ron suggested order it from Tractorsmart.
