supplied bagger blades question - 1050

Thanks for the help so far. Now - I removed the standard blade from the deck last night to replace it with the high lift blade and - ooops - the standard blade has a star shaped hole and the replacement has a round hole. Well,, I could put the replacement blade on but it is not all that snug of a fit on the shaft and I look at it as being not the safest. Anyone see this issue and have a answer? I will call the dealer tonight.

All my high lift blades have round holes. Remove an outer blade and see if it matches it. As long as diameter of the hole fits shaft correctly you will not have any problems. Tighten well. Actually the blades have item #'s stamped into them. See if it matches your other high lift blade #'s.

Okay - I talked to the dealer. He checked and the high lift blades should also have the star shaped holes in them to have them fit properly. Part number = #742-04056C-037.
I got three of them and installed them. I have not tried it out yet but will as soon as the weather allows.

I just purchased a bagger for a SLT1550. The pickup blades also do not have star shaped holes. I placed the blades on the deck and tightened the nuts to the suggested torque per the instructions. The nuts did not go back that far onto the shaft bolts. The blades do not seem as secure as the original star shaped standard blades. I will contact the dealer on Monday.
