I was debating whether to make my own small press brake, then came across this brake on Ebay for $250. It is made in Stevensville, Montana. To save time I went ahead and bought it. I've made a couple test bends on 1/4" material, it works fine.

I found one other press brake thread on TBN which has a lot of good info and pictures in it:

Here is the Ebay link for the Stevensville brake:

May I ask. How does it work? ? It don't seem to work like our 4 ft break or a bender

You put it in a "H" style hydraulic press. The top part is an angle like the point of a "V" and the bottom is open like the top of a "V".

Insert metal between the two and press the top into the bottom and you bend the metal, the lower you go the more angle you get.

This is one I made.

These work by placing this tool in your 20 Ton Shop Press. In the pix the press's "arbor" is what you see sitting in the ring atop the tool. Usually used for bending a little bit thicker metal than in a 4' break.

Here are pics of one that I made from scrap to fit my 50 ton Ironworker.
I can bend 1/2" X 4" with it.

That looks really nice for the money!
I made one a few years back to use with a Harbor Freight 20 Ton Press when I needed to do some fabrication on my Jeep. Just used it to bend some 1/4" to make a couple skids for my bucket.
