Re: \"Survey of Repairs on Your Tractor\"

B2710 new in '99
Alarming noise comeing from under tractor, seemingly front drive shaft area. Lived with noise from about 30 to 140 hrs. Finally took to dealer. He found the clamp on the front drive shaft cover had not been turned 90 degrees as the FEL install instructions indicate is needed to clear subframe. Dealer replaced shaft cover and misc. An honest mistake. But I do mean the noise was Alarming/w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif! Only at high speed did it happen. 220 hours now and no problems. (other than flat tire)

Re: "Survey of Repairs on Your Tractor"

1999 B2710 bought May '99.

55 hours - power steering fails in the heat (still not fixed)

150 hours - straighten left stabilizer bent when my nephew tried to push over a boisdarc (?) stump with the finish mower (backed into it)

210 hours - dealer fixed fuel leak caused when they worked on the power steering

150 hours - squeal coming from front end. Dealer oiled the steering shaft and it quit, but now its back. Need to figure out what it is he oiled.

Re: "Survey of Repairs on Your Tractor"

TC45 with about 60 hours --- only problems encountered so far were all caused by the gear shift actuator - only thing dissappointed in is the FEL speed when trying to run bucket in two axis at the same time

Re: \"Survey of Repairs on Your Tractor\"

When I bought mine from a Kubota dealer (used) it was in for a hydro replacement. Otherwise, a new battery and this little misfortune (attachment) which I took a picture of while walking by with the new camera this morning.

John Deere 790, mfwd, fel

Dealer installed backblade when delivered, went to remove at 8 hours from tph, lower arms would not come off of pins. dealer set up tech pounded the lower tph arms onto the blade. removed the arms and pins and took to dealer to pound out. cleaned paint off of the lower pins and worked just fine.

Battery leaking and positive cable coroding at 76hours
dealer covered under warranty and picked up and delivered for free!!

Re: "Survey of Repairs on Your Tractor"

Old tractor L3750 quite a few, but had alot of hours on her. That is a page worth./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif But a few of them I caused.

New tractor L4310 has less than one hundred hours and so far I've adjusted the hydro pedal. There is some cracking of the front tires and these will end up being replaced in the near future.

Re: \"Survey of Repairs on Your Tractor\"

1999 L3710GST w/ FEL @ 60 hours.
Only one repair so far ... leaking valve stem (rears are calcium filled) whereupon I removed the tire (thank goodness for shop cranes!) and had the wife take it to the dealers. They repaired it free. This was at 20 hours.
One repair needed ... in clearing bruish, I had a branch come up behind the bucket and punch a hole in the headlamp lens ... I'll fix it sometime ...

too bad that common sense ain't

Re: \"Survey of Repairs on Your Tractor\"

KB L4310 with 260 hours.

100hours, Replaced hydro pickup tube and right brake rod after they were bent by debris under tractor. My fault. Dealer fixed for free.

250hours, Left lower 3PH forward mounting pin fell out. My fault. I must not have tightened the retaining bolt after removing the Backhoe.

10hours, Woods 9000 Backhoe, replaced rod seal on boom cylinder. Failed due to paint on rod extending past seal. Woods fault. Covered by warranty.

Re: "Survey of Repairs on Your Tractor"

1999 New Holland 2120 gear
Took delivery in the end of 6/00
320 hrs to date

Had to replace back hoe hyd. hose for boom cylinder. Hose was not routed properly inside the boom. Boom cylinder crushed the hose weaking it. Replace hose myself, had one made at the parts store.

Loader arm got damaged (split on the bottom) due to snow build up turning to ice overnight. Repaired it myself, welded a patch on it.

90% of the total hours are loader and backhoe work. So far so good.
