So, what are the chances that the moderators give usa reason that several posts have disapeared here?????? I believe my last one was well thought out and non offensive to anyone, no matter how thin the skin... So, where did it go??

Greg, how many posts have you made in this thread? How many do you think are missing? And when were they made? I ask because I don't find any sign of any being removed. I know of a mistake I've made in the past and that is to type out a post, click on "Continue" with the "I want to preview my post and/or attach a file" box checked, and then go to something else, forgetting to click on "Post This Message" so my message didn't get posted. Is it possible you did that, too?

My father used to have quite a gun collection. Whenever I would visit him as a kid he got a kick out of watching me field strip and reassemble his pistols. Was 7 or 8 when I started that routine. He taught me to respect, handle and fire a firearm the right way. He also told me over and over that I should never point a weapon at anything that I didn't mean to kill. Said some folks made a mistake of pointing a gun without real intentions of harm only to have it taken away and used on them. I don't collect guns myself but I do have more than one for protection purposes only.

Bird, I'll need to appologise here..... I noticed that it was the "other" gun thread... Sorry.... I have noticed it in the past and this time it got me frustrated enought to say something /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif..
BTW, yes I've noticed the "wrong button" thing too... I try to be concious of that now, since I have deleted several of my own posts too /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif..

My first gun was a Remington 870 12ga when I was 11. Bought is from "Woolco back in '75, with my own money I earned working down the road for a mum farmer.
It was a tad large for me, but I still managed to get my shared of pheasants (now if only there were still some around /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif)

You can also look at your own profile and select the option to "view all user's posts". It will show you all of the posts that you made and what threads you made them to. Sometimes it takes a few hours to update, but is usually within 12 hours or so. Hope this helps.

I appreciate the tips... Unfortunatly, I just didnt look quite as hard as I should have /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif.. Honestly, with two topics so close together, I just got stupid...
