Quick Hitches Survey on quick hitches

I have a Befco RD6 and the bottom pins are mounted to 2 plates that are parallel to each other and about 4 inches long. The 2 plates are bolted opposite the pin to the mower frame. This allows about 4 inches of up and down movement. The upper link connection is also a U-shaped bracket that pivots at the top of the A-frame hitch. With the draft arms all the way down, this gives the mower the ability to float somewhat. Putting the lift link pins in the float position also gives the mower an additional 1 1/2 inch of float.
Hope I explained this well enough. I need to get a new battery for my digital camera.

As for the quick hitches, particularly SpeeCo and iMatch, what is the EXACT inside to inside distance between the attachment points on the Cat 1 models? My Mohawk box is set up for Cat 1 and Cat 2. The inside distance between the Cat 1 attachment points is exactly 26 inches, and the top link distance is 16 inches, which is the standard. On my mower, however, the inside distance between the pins is 27 1/4 inches. Distance to top link, because of the floating top bracket, is 15 inches to 18 inches. Is there enough tolerance in the quick hitch measurements to allow me to use implements with slightly different bottom pin spacings?

Here is a little info from my preliminary investigation. I have found out that the Speeco hitch is 27 1/4 inches inside the lift lugs and Land Pride is 27 inches. The width of the lift lug on both units is 2 1/8 inches. As was stated in earlier posts, apparently these don't follow the Cat 1 standard exactly, although I would think the manufacturer has to leave a little tolerance for bent pins, etc.

As for me, both appear like they would work on my MX6 cutter and box blade, based on field measurements. I would also have to use the floating top adapter on both hitches. As for my grooming mower, me thinks I am just SOL. The way the bottom pins are attached on the mower, they could be modified easily to go further apart but not closer, like I would need. Oh well, back to the drawing board. I already have momma cutting grass, if I could only find something she could use to hook up the tools, I'd be able to increase my beverage consumption considerably as I could imbibe without interruption for longer periods of time.
