Love to help you Murph, but I havent a clue what a "Ez-troughs" is. I have seen hummingbirds go after another bird to protect what I would assume is its nest.

Rat,

It's the same as a rain gutter. Why we call them Ez-trough is beyond me. In fact I am not sure of the spelling even.

I think what you're saying is "eaves troughs", the eaves being where they are mounted...............

I would get a hummingbird feeder for your daughter - where there was one there will be more. A swallow would never catch one that wasn't disabled, and your daughter will be delighted by seeing others come to the feeder. At our house, you can stand still about two feet from the feeder and they will still come up to it.

Don't worry about the gutter thing.

We did put up a couple of feeders. We get one at the feeders about every hour one will how up. It just hurt so much to see my little girl cry over the hummingbird.

And now I am wondering how the post got deleted as I posted it last night, this morning it was ok, but now it says deleted. Did I do that somehow? Can't even remember going in to edit it?

I have some ideas as to "how" it got deleted; I just wondered "why" you deleted it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Well guys I am sure I deleted it. I must have tried to edit it and hit delete instead. You know my wife believes that I am addicted to TBN so I may have been in there editing it and if my walked in I might have rushed and hit delete instead of post. I know you have to confirm it and I am sure I did without reading it. But you know I have to keep everyone happy here and being on TBN doesn't make my wife happy. She thinks I love you guys more than her /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif. Now I don't know why she would say that. (If she only knew how many posts I had here).

So anyway I am sure that is how it got deleted.
