Swapping an 800 carb to an 801 tractor

I'm running a zenith carb on my 4000. it burns less gas then my similar model 841 with the M/S 813 carb on it. I have the smaller carb on my '55 950 pulling tractor. I thought about going to a bigger carb but since I'm pulling first or second in my class why mess with it and when I'm not pulling I use it for one arm loader work around the farm so it burns less fuel.

Sound guy, would it be worth the trouble to switch for the fuel economy I'd get?

Personally, I'd stick with the correct carb. For me, I had a broke carb, and a bunch of small carb pieces, and put together a customized small carb.. it was cheaper for me, and runs ok since I don't need all 172 cubes... ( on that machine anyway. )

Believe I'll take your advice on keeping it original, soundguy. Don't run it enough to justify messin with it.
