Swisher trail mower: keeping clean

Hi Mark, I figured out a easy way of doing this and it works great for me. I took a 3/4 inch x 4 foot long piece of pvc pipe and glued a cap on one end and the other a fitting that lets me screw on my garden hose. Drilled 1/8 inch holes in it about every 3 inches and set it in a little ditch I scraped my hoe across to make a 1/2 inch ditch in the ground drive over it turn the mower deck on and drive forward very slowly. Then I pull the Swisher tag along over it the same way and walla clean as a pin and no hard work.

That's a good idea. My problem is I don't have water out in the pasture and going through all the gates with the horses out takes 2 people. So I think I'm stuck with scraping. I might hook up something like you suggested by the house for my smaller garden tractor.

Neat. I wonder if it would work with compressed air?
Of course, Id have to use black pipe, because PVC would blow up. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
