switching disc hookup??

a friend told me i could take the 3pt hook up on my disc and put it on the back? so the front blades run in and back run out?? why would i do that?? what different cut would it make?? i didn't get a chance for him to explain. i just looked at the disc and saw that it can be done. can someone here explain to this NEWBIE!!

Im thinking your friend has never pulled a disk. Pulling it backward will do nothing other than ride on top of ground and plug up the front gang. Try it out by just backing up with your disk lowered. Let us know how it goes.

I'm thinking his friend is trying to see if the OP will fall for it!! In other words, he might be trying to pull a fast one. I have never seen this done, or read/heard where it was either suggested or recommended to do that. If the friend was being serious, oh well.....
