Synthetic or Dino?

What is your pressure switch set at? Was it running full out at everything below 150?

My first experience with full syn oil was in my 4 stroke 70HP boat engine. It got a full 500 rpm more throttle response with the syn oil in it.

Yeah and I betcha it smoked less too.

Do not use car oil in a compressor. I use Mobil RARUS 427 .

Learn something new every day so I thought I'd check it out. Googled Mobil Rarus 427 and read the pdf. As I read I compared it to their Mobil 1 and couldn't find it all that better if at all. I guess if I had a commercial establishment I would worry about it but I don't and the Mobil 1 is in and working fine so I guess I'll just hang in there. I mean Mobil 1 is synthetic, no ash, higher temp ratings that dino oils, additives to keep engines clean, high pressure rated to stay between metal parts under high stresses.......

Well it doesn't smoke at all as it is a 4 stroke and doesn't use any oil at all. 4 cylinder Evinrude motor, nice quiet, low idle is perfect for trolling about 4-5 MPH.
