The $50 will be gone and fogotten quickly. I would keep it for the sentimental value if it had belong to my father. That value would easily exceed $50, to me anyway. Especially if I could remember my dad using it. Spray it with thinned oil(some of the fancy biodegradable chain saw bar oil maybe?) to preserve it and use it for a center piece in some area of the yard. Heck, put it next the barn or tractor shed or what ever and let it be a bird feeder. But dont throw it away for scrap metal. Who knows, someday someone might make you a good offer for it. Just my thoughts.
Well said, there is no way I could scrap such a nice piece.
