Anyone got a good idea for a non-hydralic post driver? One for a three point, maybe?

I just push them down with the front end loader bucket. Do you have a FEL on your tractor?

Got one - unfortunately, bad shoulders, bad back, and shot knees won't allow to much use out of it!

Are you trying to drive them from very top? I built a bolt on bracket for bucket lip that fits over post's footpegs. It's a cinch in sandy soil.

Sameas I was thinking - we used to call it a "walking beam" - a linkage deal that ran a well casing driver. It took tension on the weight cable on part of the stroke and released the slack to drop the weight on the rest of the cycle. Purely mechanical, no hydraulics. Sorry, I don't remember the details.
